| The Big Picture. It all begins with happiness |
ever felt like...
One minute everything's going well for you. You're on top of the world, head bursting with the wonderful things people are saying about you. And the next minute, day or week, you're slipping back down the slope and there's a voice inside your head saying, 'Told you so'. We've created a myth in Western society that such a rollercoaster of happiness is acceptable. Worse, that this is actually desirable. The reasoning goes like this: 'without experiencing the lows, how can we experience the highs?' or, 'I like my downs, they show me I'm human. If I got rid of them I'd be like a robot!' We even kid ourselves,'my life's nice and stable, it's all in order, I don't need to rock the boat, thanks.' which to the trained eye reads: "happiness is too much effort, I give up." Taking lessons from Tibetan Buddhism, Ginger Training & Coaching challenges these common beliefs and replaces them with a model for sustainable happiness. |
ginger prefers life with more...up!
We’re not saying it’s easy, but over time you can learn to flatten out the troughs and even raise the peaks in your happiness. It’s not about living like a robot- far from it! This is as about a life that’s exciting, spontaneous and fulfilling. And there are tools that make this possible. Our personal development programmes and training workshops combine the best of co-active coaching and training with inspiration from Tibetan Buddhist to empower you to discover and complete the changes in your life that will make a difference. And where does this fit in with organisations? It’s no surprise to progressive organisations that job satisfaction and job performance are closely linked. Happy workers, if managed wisely, have the surplus to contribute more to their organisation (visit our resources page to explore these ideas more). So happiness has to underpin any of our training offerings. That doesn’t mean we train happiness; in fact we help individuals, organisations and young people with a wide variety of practical performance challenges. Happiness feeds into the Ginger Growth Model and underpins everything we do. |

the ginger growth model Our goal is real, sustainable happiness and we lean on principles from Tibetan Buddhism to help us get there. The Ginger Growth Model below shows five different skills that, if developed fully, lead to happiness that's beyond the ups and downs we expect from life.
