individuals > more about coaching What is coaching? Imagine a deep relationship where you discover what you really want and are equipped with the tools to live there - this is coaching. Coaching understands that you have knowledge and wise information locked up inside you about how you really want to live and work. We ask questions, bring structure and exercises to help you access that answer your challenges in a way that will empower and surprise you. If you know something needs to get better in your work or life (and it's strange sometimes why we separate the two), we know no better way to make that happen than a coaching programme.
Ginger coach, Sarah Lloyd-Hughes uses a co-active model of coaching, meaning that coach and client together design the best way to make the changes you're looking for. You drive the agenda, so you are powerfully committed to the results in a way that they couldn't be if you were taken through a typical ABC coaching programme. Think about all the 'good ideas' you've taken away from training programmes but never used. Why? Because it wasn't the idea that you were stuck on, it was something else you needed. The specific approach, therefore, depends on what is needed. Some of the tools at our disposal include: The trick is, a programme is tailored to you, so we can help you work through any work or life challenge (understanding that the two are deeply interconnected). Follow these links to find out about our most popular programmes: public speaking skills; career shifting; small business & self-employed performance programme; building healthy relationships; finding sustainable happiness; creating balance in your life or a custom-build programme.
Can't I just do this with a bottle of wine and a friend? Some people prefer to try to make change by themselves, which is fine too. But without the right techniques and support, these people may leave their development to luck, or it may take much longer to achieve. A friend or partner, plus a bottle of wine is great for sympathy, support and having a good moan, but it won't get you to the 'tough place' that you really need to go to make a change. A coach keeps sight of your agenda and your full potential, even when you've lost sight of it yourself. The best way to see the difference between coaching and a regular conversation is to try it! Book in a free sample session with Sarah to see if coaching is worth the investment. There's really no pressure to buy - we love to connect with and help people, even if it's just for one session. |
